Bozeman Train Depot | Train Photography Print | Railroad Photography

I shared this photograph on a Montana Facebook group, not giving any thought to the fact a certain segment of people would get butt-hurt at the fact there is graffiti decorated on the old Bozeman train depot. A few minutes after posting it, someone had responded with “isn’t graffiti vandalism?” Really dude, that was your first thought? Another commenting with “trash!.” Someone else replying about discipline teaching respect. While a few others claimed their precious city of Bozeman was being ruined by outsiders. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, they clearly missed the point of the captures. Art comes in various forms, and personally I love graffiti. I would love to see their reactions if they came back east and walked the streets of New York City, but then again something tells me that these individuals would rather remain within the confines of their small minded thoughts. I wound up deleting the post a few hours later, because even though I was receiving more positive comments than negative ones, I didn’t want to respond with something I would later regret. Besides if a few individuals can’t appreciate art work for what it is, they don’t deserve the ability to critique it anyways.
